How will you make an impact?

As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will play a crucial role in making the daily lives of your colleagues easier. Through reviewing supplier invoices, preparing bank transfers, and maintaining regular communication with vendors, you will enable colleagues to focus on serving citizens in low- and middle-income countries.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Verifying, recording, and processing incoming supplier invoices accurately and on time in the ERP system.

  • Monitoring due dates, preparing bank transfers, and coordinating payment execution with the finance team.

  • Communicating with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, credit notes, and outstanding payments.

  • Maintaining accurate documentation of accounting entries, scanning, archiving, and organising records.

  • Performing accounts payable (AP) closing activities, including reconciliations and the preparation of reports.

  • Ensuring adherence to company financial policies and procedures in all AP-related activities.

  • Preparing regular and ad hoc AP reports, such as aging analysis and open items lists.

  • Contributing to the enhancement and automation of AP workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.

We are looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of invoice processing, reconciliations, and payment cycles.

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles.

  • Hands-on experience with month-end closing.

  • Exposure to AP reporting (aging analysis, open items, payment forecast, etc.).

  • Proficiency with ERP systems; Salesforce/Certinia experience is an advantage.

  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets and financial analysis skills.

  • Proven problem-solving ability and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive, action-oriented mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Fluency in both written and verbal English.

What’s in it for you?

  • A competitive compensation package, including a base salary, private health insurance, cafeteria benefits, and annual performance-based bonus.

  • High levels of responsibility and autonomy.

  • A flexible working model – most days you can work from home, with 1–2 days per week in the office to connect with the team.

  • Opportunities to learn and grow within a supportive team.

  • The chance to see your work make a tangible impact on health and education services every day.

  • Opportunities to connect with colleagues worldwide at annual global conferences.
