Location:
Flexibility in location is expected, as our consultants may be based in any province of Pakistan (Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KPK plus Islamabad) depending on capacity needs.
How will you make an impact?
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing Acasus workstreams and stakeholders in one province of assignment. You will be a coach for the team's associates and senior associates, as well as a trusted advisor for stakeholders. The position requires you to work under pressure and deliver time-sensitive projects.
Tasks and responsibilities:

Plan and develop strategies to improve the lives of citizens.

Set the overall direction, pace and priorities for your team.

Coach and support senior stakeholders and team members with problem-solving and effective implementation.

Lead team problem-solving, effectively leveraging the perspectives of multiple people to solve problems.

Lead your team with designing and implementing new systems.
-
Develop existing systems to improve outcomes for citizens.

Lead your team in identifying and understanding issues.
-
Break down problems and identify root causes.

Use data and other information for analysis and decision-making purposes.

Structure and coordinate document creation.

Give recommendations constructing multiple scenarios for government officials and partners, advising where necessary.

Develop excellent relationships with senior government officials and international partners.

Establish routines, delegate, and intervene appropriately.

Plan and run large meetings with senior stakeholders, including during exceptional circumstances.

Assess international evidence and learn lessons about pragmatic solutions.

Conduct interviews for Associate and Senior Associate candidates to join the team.

Support the effective onboarding of new team members.
We're looking for:

5–8 years of total work experience and at least 1–2 years at management or strategy consulting.

Work experience at a top-tier management consultancy is a great plus.

Minimum is a bachelor from a renowned national/international university; masters from an international university is a big plus.

Experience in managing senior stakeholders (e.g. CEOs, ministers, heads of department, donors, etc.)

Experience of working at the provincial or national level in Pakistan.

A track record of working in Pakistan.

Previous experience in the public sector is an advantage.

A track record of leading a team of consultants with strong leadership and coaching skills.

Excellent in English and ideally Urdu.

Superb communication skills, including the ability to maintain and develop relationships with new and existing partners.

Strong problem-solving skills, including the mastery of a range of advanced techniques, such as flipping problems and premortem.

Conviction in your decision making.

Highly developed interpersonal skills.

A strong drive and motivation to help governments help people.

A keen interest in social issues and public sector development.

Openness to travel and relocate in Pakistan.
